Destinations, seasons and the search that drives both

Travel demand is seasonal and destination-specific, which makes year-on-year the only comparison worth making, and the one most tools make hardest.

The problem

Month-on-month is meaningless in a seasonal business, and year-on-year needs history most tools will not keep at the grain you need it.

What we mean

Six months on connect and continuous history after, at page and query grain, with period comparison as a first-class operation rather than an export you diff by hand.

16 months

the limit Google keeps. We keep what we pull

How it works

Start to answer

  1. 01

    Connect

History backfills from the first sync.

  2. 02

    Compare periods

Any window against any other, with deltas computed.

  3. 03

    Destination grain

Each destination page as its own row.

  4. 04

    Watch demand shift

Query data shows the search before the booking.

Before and after

What actually changes

The seasonal comparison

Before

Two exports and a spreadsheet to line up this March against last.

After

One query with two windows and the delta already computed.

Emerging demand

Before

A destination trends and you find out from bookings.

After

You see it in search queries first.

History that stays

Long enough to compare seasons.

  • Six months on connect
  • Continuous after
  • Longer retention on paid plans

Period comparison

First-class, not a manual diff.

  • Any window against any other
  • Deltas computed
  • Available over the API and MCP

Destination grain

Page and query level.

  • Per-destination performance
  • Query demand signals
  • Country of searcher

The honest limit on history

Search Console itself only retains sixteen months. Surevisible keeps what it has pulled beyond that, so history accrues from the day you connect, but the first year-on-year comparison is only as good as what Google will still hand over on day one.

In short

Seasonal comparison stops being the hardest report to produce.
