Surevisible

Our story

We built this because the spreadsheet stopped working

Not as a metaphor. There was a real spreadsheet, it took most of a day each month, and by the time it was assembled the month it described was over.

We ran a handful of brands. Each one had its own Search Console, its own GA4 property, and its own quiet disagreements about what counted as a visit. Once a month someone exported all of it, pasted it into a sheet, reconciled the definitions by hand, and produced a number that everybody treated as fact and nobody could reproduce.

The obvious fix was a BI tool. We tried that. It works, if you have an analyst to keep the models honest and a quarter to spend building them. What we wanted was much smaller: the same definitions everywhere, applied once, so that comparing two brands was valid by construction rather than by whoever built the sheet remembering to make it so.

So Surevisible is a warehouse with a semantic layer over it and a chat that can only ask questions the layer can answer. The model picks the question. The schema decides what the numbers mean. That split is the entire product.

What we hold to

An answer you cannot audit is a guess

Every number the product shows can be traced to the query that produced it. If we ever have to say 'trust the model', we have built the wrong thing.

Definitions before dashboards

A chart drawn from two sources that disagree about what a session is looks exactly like a chart drawn from two that agree. The semantic layer comes first for that reason.

The portfolio is the unit

Tools are built for one site because one site is easier to demo. The people we build for have eight, and averaging them into a single score helps nobody.

Say what you do not know

Google revises recent days after publishing them. Sources go down. The honest product reports the gap instead of drawing a smooth line through it.
